Company taglines are a powerful branding tool. But sadly, a lot of small businesses don't have a company tagline and miss out on this branding opportunity. I think of taglines as being like telegrams—they are short and say something important.
A great tagline can communicate any number of things about your brand and something that your company name alone cannot. Often a tagline will communicate one of the following things: an important customer benefit, what your business is about, something that’s superior about your business, a thought-provoking idea or a call to action.
To get the maximum return on your tagline, you must use it often and ideally with your logo whenever possible. Yes, there will be exceptions to this rule, such as applications where the logo is very small, but these are the exceptions, NOT the rule.
